Wedding Woes

The only complaint I have about our wedding day:

High temperature ties 98 year record

Temperatures near and more than 100 degrees have prompted air pollution advisories for the Dayton and Springfield metro areas Saturday. Today's high of 97 tied the area record set in 1913. High temperatures have been lingering in the Miami Valley since Thursday, prompting early dismissal from several school districts and creating unsafe conditions for people staying outside an extended period of time. Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Erica Collura said the oppressive heat won't last too much longer. "Today should be the last day of temperatures above 90," Collura said. Temperatures above 90 are not unheard of in September, but records show temperatures reaching the upper 90s are at the height of normal temperatures for this time of the year. The heat from today may spark an isolated shower or thunderstorm, and more rain arrives tomorrow from northwest to southeast. Some of those showers may linger into Labor Day before moving east, Collura said.
